Teaching at Nazareth

1 aJesus went out from there and *came into
Or His own part of the country

cHis hometown; and His disciples *followed Him.
2And when the Sabbath came, He began dto teach in the synagogue; and

the fmany listeners were astonished, saying, “Where did this man learn these things, and what is this wisdom that has been given to Him, and such
Or works of power
miracles as these performed by His hands?
3Is this not hthe carpenter, ithe son of Mary and brother of
Or Jacob
James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are kHis sisters not here with us?” And they took loffense at Him.
4Jesus said to them, mA prophet is not dishonored except in
Or his own part of the country
,
ohis hometown and among his own relatives, and in his own household.”
5And He could not do any
Or work of power
miracle there except that He qlaid His hands on a few sick people and healed them.
6And He was amazed at their unbelief.

rAnd He was going around the villages, teaching.
